I completed the Minnesota transfer curriculum through Normandale Community College and transferred to a four year state institution where I earned my Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree. While attending Normandale fulltime, I also worked full-time. I felt the class schedule at Normandale was very friendly for working adults and the class sizes and instructors were very helpful to my success in the program. I would recommend this program for anyone interested in pursuing a four-year degree in Engineering from a state college."

vision. innovation. success.

The United States faces a crisis in science and technology: There will not be enough qualified students entering these fields in the coming years to meet growing demand. Women and other under-represented groups reflect this trend in growing numbers. Research indicates that the number of women entering science and technology fields in the US has is not grown in proportion to industry need.

A valuable, meaningful career area, engineers are creative problem solvers, improve the quality of life, and contribute to the common good by creating medical devices, sound roads & bridges, safe housing or nutrious foods.
